The T1 chip's firmware lives on the macOS EFI partition, not in ROM. Omarchy's full-disk install erases it → Touch Bar, webcam, Touch ID and ambient light sensor go dead until macOS is reinstalled. Fix: preserve the macOS EFI (Free-space install) or use the nohzafk patched driver.
Hybrid-graphics race between i915 and amdgpu → black screen right after password entry. Boot-param workaround exists, but the Touch Bar is dead at that stage — you need a physical keyboard plugged in. Guide: discussion/7855.
Omarchy's WPA2/WPA3 supplicant fix deliberately skips the BCM4360 in 2013–2015 MacBooks: it runs the out-of-tree wl driver, which never reads the brcmfmac option. The rest of the machine has no T-chip obstacles, but no verdict exists until a firsthand report lands. Don't buy a 2013–15 unit for Omarchy on Wi-Fi alone. Source: fix-brcmfmac-supplicant.sh.
